Suresh My journey into counselling and psychology has been shaped by both academic learning and personal experience. Having faced challenges during my own school years, I developed a deep appreciation for the importance of emotional support, guidance, and having a trusted adult to talk to. This inspired me to pursue a career dedicated to supporting the wellbeing and growth of young people. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work. Currently, I am in my final year of pursuing an MSc in Psychology as well as a B.Ed. in Special Educational Needs, further strengthening my knowledge of child development, mental health, inclusive education, and student support. For the past year, I have been working as a School Counsellor cum Wellness Teacher, where I support students in navigating academic, social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. My role involves individual counselling, classroom-based wellbeing sessions, psychoeducational activities, and collaborating with teachers and parents to create a supportive learning environment. I also teach Psychology for NIOS Class 10 students, helping them develop an understanding of human behaviour, emotions, and mental wellbeing. Throughout my professional journey, I have remained committed to creating a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where students feel heard, understood, and empowered. I strongly believe that education and emotional wellbeing go hand in hand, and I strive to help students build resilience, self-awareness, and confidence to navigate life's challenges. I also have a personal connection to the Middle East, having completed my schooling at the Indian School Wadi Kabir in Muscat, Oman. This exposure has given me an understanding of multicultural educational environments and the unique needs of expatriate student communities.
